When we relapsed before the fall
As just
We all turned to ethanol
We returned to our broken homes
With calls and moans
Our godliness was alcohol
We built our walls
From our bones
But we needed each other to smite
We needed it flowing and trite
Like a fire with no light
The coarsest wrong to right
Was impossible by sight
I fear what Ive never known
We built our walls
From our bones
Fleeing
Im your vessel for eternity
Whatever you did to me
Sold me away
So Im leaving
Before I see the world decay
Before the world goes grey
Before Im out of things to say
Im going away
Away
I decided to recede
On the birth of a seed
I have everything I need
We all found hopes to impede
We all found hopes to impede
We began to bleed
We began to plead
For the birth of a deed
If all was fine by night
And a dirge in the white
Did we really have this might
That was lamentable by sight
I fear things Ive never known
We built our walls
From our bones
Fleeing
Im your vessel for eternity
Whatever you did to me
Sold me away
So Im leaving
Before I see the world decay
Before the world goes grey
Before Im out of things to say
Im going away
Away
We were here all along
We were gone
We were wrong
We all turned to ethanol
With a moan
We returned to our broken homes
We saw it all
I fear things Ive never known
We built our walls
We built our halls
From our bones

I like my old poetry less, but I remember being fond of this one, as it was more original than my others.
